This afternoon we had team challenges on the rec field...There were 6 different challenges that the teams rotated through as the air horn sounded!
Challenge 1 - Switch Places
The goal is for the entire group to trade places without speaking...If more than 2 people stand up at the same time or if 1 person stands up alone the group must start over. Without speaking the group must work together to accomplish this task!
Challenge 2 - Whose Stone is it Anyways?
The group must discretely pass a stone all the way down their line, but one person on each team will secretly keep the stone and only pretend to pass it. The opposing team must determine who kept the stone!
Challenge 3 - Replication
Using "lookers," "runners" and "builders" the teams must reconstruct a "scene." The "builders" can only ask the "runners" yes/no questions about the design and the "runners" only know what the "lookers" tell them about the scene!
Challenge 4 - Tarp Balls
An old favorite...The team must use a tarp to launch various shapes, sizes and numbers of balls into the air and catch them!
Challenge 5 - Basket Bowling
The team must rush to a stack of laundry baskets, build a pyramid and then return to the starting line where they will then blindfold and spin around a team member who will go "bowling" (with their bodies) to knock over the baskets!
Challenge 6 - Toss a Name
The team must remember a pattern of tossing a ball around a circle. Sounds easy until you try accomplishing it with 9 balls!
