This morning Coach Walton took us to Philippians 3:13-14 where we focused on pressing on for the prize...
He gave the example of how, in weight lifting, you use a bench press to get bigger and stronger:
First you strain (it won't be easy, but good is the enemy of great),
next you struggle, and finally when you think you can't handle any more you scream. He related this to the Christian life and how it wasn't designed to be easy but yet it's so worth it! And because of this, we shouldn't run or hide from the strain, struggle or scream.
He closed out this session by reminding us that "He that is in us is greater than he that is in the world."
