"Happy Birthday dear Malary!!!" We're so glad you chose to spend your 13th birthday here at camp with us! (I mean, what could be better?! - Oh, yeah...Those Justin Bieber tickets your parents just surprised you with!)
And have you guys officially met our awesome worship band yet??
We've totally be blessed by these guys leading us in worship! (And they're even pretty cool guys off the stage too!)
Amazing. Man. of. God.
Coach Keith Walton
Tonight we looked at Matthew 14:25-34 and the story of when Jesus
and his disciples were out in the boats and Jesus called Peter to step out of
the boat onto the water and walk to Him. Coach Walton used the example of the boat
representing comfort in our lives where we aren’t willing to step out of the
boat.
He stressed with us that it takes a lot of courage to step
into greatness but It’s not our fear that is binding us but rather our doubt. So,
who wants to be a water walker??
He then challenged us by asking what kind of ships
do we
each need to step out of…
Friend-ships? Relation-ships? Partner-ships? Doubt-ships?
Fear-ships?
Emotion-ships?
Thank you, God, for tearing down walls and opening the hearts of our students to hear EXACTLY what YOU'D have EACH of them hear. Thank you for ALLOWING US as leaders to be USED by you to love on and minister to each one of these students RIGHT WHERE THEY ARE. They are YOUR children and we are your HANDS AND FEET. Thank you.
