Tuesday Morning Session

So we're all well rested (ha!) and ready to go for another awesome day! We're definitely having a, but what's even more cool is, at this halfway point in camp, seeing walls broken and students really connecting to each other, their leaders and our God! Every time we get together for worship we KNOW we're in the presence of the Lord and His Spirit is here!

Last night when we left off in our story of Joseph he was living it up in Egypt...So now as we move on to see how his story ends we take a look at the rest of Genesis.

At this point in the story there is a great famine in the land and Joseph's brothers have come to Egypt to buy food, but they have no idea that it's their long lost brother that they are standing in front of! Seriously?! Now Joseph has some huge decisions to make! How does he respond to the very brothers who, the last time he saw them, wanted him dead?? It was a choice of restoration vs revenge...Getting even vs giving grace...

This morning's small group questions:
  1. Read Genesis 50:14-21 - What stuck out to you about the ending of Joseph's story?
  2. How would you have rewritten Joseph's response to his family?
  3. Do you think he struggled with forgiveness?
  4. How do YOU struggle with forgiveness?
