We started off tonight's session by awarding our Jacob Davis Spirit Flag to the team with the most spirit this past week leading up to camp...The PURPLE team!
Our worship leader for the weekend is Luke Crown...He and his band did a great job getting us right into worship tonight!
For our 10th JSM camp, the choice for our speaker was obvious! None other than our very own PASTOR BOBBY!!
The theme of this camp is "Make Your Mark" so PB kicked off tonight by challenging every one here to take a stand for Jesus. We looked at the story in Daniel 3 of Shadrach, Meshack & Abednigo. (If you're not familiar with it take a couple of minutes to read it for yourself!)
Qualities of X-Standers (People who are willing to to take a stand):
-Must be willing to pay the price (People WILL laugh at you.)
-Know that standing isn't easy
-Want to please God first (You can't please people all the time, but you can please GOD all the time!)
-Aren't trying to gain popularity
-Know they can't do it alone (A cord of three strands can't be easily broken.)
-Don't know the word quit (When you realize your Daddy is on your side you can stand on the X and not quit.)
-Don't know the word "impossible"
-Know they have the God of the universe on their side

This camp was truly AMAZING!!! I just wanted to give a big thanks to "PB" for helping me realize that I needed to stop running, let go, and let God. Also a big thanks to Jamie Baxley for always being there for me.
