Wow! What an awesome time we've had today! (Well, I guess since I'm posting this after midnight it's technically yesterday!) Can't believe camp's almost over!
This afternoon we had our own Amazing Race! Ever seen the show?? We basically recreated it JSM-style with 9 cool stations for the teams to complete...The teams all had a different order in which they had to travel to the stations but everyone's last clue led them all to the final task where it was a race to the end!
Our night game tonight was a ton of fun! Totally NOT biblical, but each team had an envelope of sins that they had to "buy" forgiveness for...In order to earn enough money to buy redemption tickets from the monk the teams could take on a task issued by the foremen, play a game of luck with the lucky jokers or buy goods from the traveling salesmen to sell to the towns for a profit. The students worked together fabulously in their teams! It was so fun to see all their different strategies!
And now you may wonder why these girls on the front row are covered with plastic...
Probably because this is a dangerous place to be sitting during tonight's icebreaker! There's no way we could get through a whole camp without a nasty food game!! One student from each team was chosen...Their mission? They had one can each of baked beans, vienna sausages, potted meat & sadines...On the line was 200,000 points for your team if you could down it all!! The lineup - 9 guys and 1 girl...Go Jordie!! You rock!!
And again...Words just can't express the atmosphere in that room during our sessions...Worship was just mind-blowing...Every time! To see these students responding and making life-changing decisions is just awesome. The rest of it's fun and all, but THIS is really what it all comes down to...
Signing off for the final time...Winter Camp 2010 was amazing...Game on!!
