Good morning all!! We've survived another night here at Camp Jackson! I'm sure some of y'all are starting to miss your kids, but I hate to tell you that I haven't come across any cases of home-sickness here! We're having a blast!
Last night we played this crazy game where 12 of the leaders were assigned a number 1-12 and the teams had to go around and find the leaders in the correct order to have their cards signed off on... The catch was that if you were asked if you're number 1 but you weren't you couldn't tell them which number you really were...So the students go around back and forth all over the camp trying to figure which leaders are what numbers. (And not to mention we had another 15 leaders wandering around with no numbers...Just being decoys...But the students had no idea who was who!) Honestly, from a leader a perspective it was hilarious!! We had these kids literally RUNNING from one side of the camp to the other! Haha! Hope they had fun too! It worked to our advantage too though b/c come time to head to the cabins and the students were all in their beds with the lights off before the leaders even got in!!
So here we are this morning...To kick off our session and keep with the spirit of the day we had one guy from each team go outside and come up with their best pickup line to use on two of our leaders. The guys came in one by one with the instructions to give us their line and sit down between the ladies while putting his arms around them...The problem?? Unbeknownst to the guys, there wasn't actually a chair under the sheet between the ladies so when they went to sit down they found themselves hitting the floor! Ouch!
(Disclaimer: No guys were harmed in the playing of this little joke! - Well, except for maybe their egos!!)
Next we started off our day with some awesome worship! Experiencing worship in a room filled with 83 students is an amazing experience...We are truly raising up a generation that's not ashamed to raise their hands and praise our God through music!
It's gonna be a fun afternoon! Keep us in your prayers though...We're getting to the point where weariness starts to set in! Catch ya later!!
