Earlier in the week each team received a random bag of props with the directive to come up with a short skit that included every team member and incorporated every prop...Creative, funny, random...Anything goes! Last night was their chance to show us what they'd come up with...
First up was Jaundice...They were on a boat...
That crashed on a desert island where they found The Book of Steve...
That told them they needed to find Yogi Bear...
And then there was some dancing to Vanilla Ice!
Next up was The Bloopers where these two girls were having a slumber party and ringing bells...
Then these bad guys came in and murdered them and took their bear...
But two detectives showed up...
(One was a little cross-eyed...)
And there was toilet paper hero who somehow saved the day!
Then there was The Red Runners who wanted to try out for Mexico's Got Talent but this crazy Mexican guard dude wouldn't let them in...
But then Tina broke out with some crazy good clogging to "Cotton Eye Joe"...
And The Red Runners overtook the guard!
Next up, Kryptonite turned their skit into a gameshow called "Name That Leader!"
We have Ben (the guy who can wear anything!)...
Steve & Sarah
Jenn...
Chris Bush (aka - Billy Ray)...
And last, but not least, a freakishly good impersonation of our very own Brandon Reeves!
Next, we peeked in on Jaundice at CCCP (Christian Camp for Children & Parents)...
Well, maybe it was more of brainwashing experiment, right Ms. Counselor??
But then these creatures from another planet arrived looking for a place for this guy's "sondaughter" to give birth to the next heir to the throne...
So he has this baby there at the camp but it's pretty apparent that the baby is actually an impostor!!
And finally The Pink Panthers close out the evening with these two not-so-together guys talking about a movie they've seen...
It was something about these Amish peasants that worked for this mean farmer...
And then his son comes in and is concerned because one of the peasants has been hurt...
So he turns into Superman and fights with his dad and these random dancers appear...
Then they go back to fighting again and the farmer turns into Darth Vader...(Good thing this kid brought his gas mask to camp with him!) and Princess Leia appears...
And some random other stuff happens and "The end!"
Hahahahaha!!! These were the most hilarious skits we've ever seen our students do at camp!! You just wouldn't believe the things some of the most quiet kids will do when they get up on that stage!
The skits were judged in three categories:
Best Use of Props goes to Jaundice!
Most Creative goes to The Pink Panthers!
Funniest goes to The Bloopers!
Maybe later in the week we can get the videos of each one edited and posted so everyone can share in the hilarity!!
Once points were totaled after Showtime our final point breakdown is:
The Red Runners - 442,750
The Pink Panthers - 466,750
Jaundice - 553,000
The Bloopers - 581,750
Kryptonite - 653,500
Tang - 893,150
Congratulations Tang! Way to go!
