Saturday Flashback!
Just a few pictures from Saturday morning during a game called "Gimme!" where teams raced to find specific items and put them in Steve's hand...
Sunday Morning Challenge - Blow It Off
Good morning to all our family and friends back home! Our last day here at camp is well under way!
This morning's team challenge was called "Blow it Off!"
The object: Scores as many points as you can by blowing the ping pong ball off your opponents side of the table using only a drinking straw.
Camo beats Pink 12-7!
Purple beats Blue 13-5!
Red and White tied at 2!
Teal beats Black 10-5!
Orange beats Green 13-2!
Rainbow beats Yellow 14-10!

Saturday Night Challenge - Eat It!
Now of course camp wouldn't be camp without a nasty food challenge!
The object: Ahead of time one student from each team filled out a sheet showing how many of each food item they thought they could eat. The items?? Powdered doughnuts (1,000 each), bananas (2,000 each), saltine crackers (3,000 each), sliced bread (4,000 each), Vienna sausages (5,000) each) and sardines (10,000 each)!
The plates ranged in point values from 53,000 (Orange Team) to 333,000 (Pink Team). The Pink Team's plate was totally overflowing! Luke Rice set his mind to eating 10 powdered doughnuts, 3 bananas, 25 saltine crackers, 8 slices of bread, 12 Vienna sausages and 5 sardines!
The only student to finish his plate during the 10 minute time limit and earn his team 109,000 points was Devaughn Moore! (But because BB is a softy she gave everyone else the opportunity to finish their plates and still earn half their point value and all 11 other students completed this part of challenge!)
Enjoy the pictures! (But sorry...There was no live action vomiting this year!)
Points Update:
Teal - 92,500

Saturday Afternoon - CLUE!
Our afternoon team challenge here at camp this year was a super-sized game of Clue! (Yeah, like the board game, but not so boring and a whole lot more difficult!) 100,000 points were on the line for the first team to figure out who killed Brandon Reeves, where they did it and with which weapon! In order to earn clues the teams had a few different challenges they could complete at 12 different stations...The higher the level of difficulty, the more clues they could receive at each station.
One Hop This Time - Students were numbered off and hopped across a numbered puzzle board onto pieces corresponding with their number.
Silent Treatment - Students had to put themselves in alphabetical order, shoe size order, and birth order without talking. (Some teams figured out to communicate their information best by writing it out.)
Minesweeper - Students had to figure out the pattern and successfully make it from one side of the "minefield" without talking.
Flip, Don't Trip - Using a holey tarp, each team had to toss a tennis ball into the air, flip the tarp over, and catch the ball.
Hoop, There It Is - Students passed a hula hoop around their circle while holding hands and singing.
Shoe Scramble - Students put all of their socks/shoes in a pile and then relay-style, had to find their socks/shoes and put them back on while blindfolded.
Spell My Feet - Students had letters written on the soles of their feet and then had to spell out specific words without talking.
Human Knot - After the entire team crowded in together and locked hands they had to figure out how to untangle themselves without talking or breaking their grips.
Gargle Me a Tune - Students were challenged to recite the Pledge of Allegiance, sing their ABC's and sing the Star Spangled Banner while gargling a cup of water.
If You Build It - Each team worked together to build a free-standing structure using various sizes of PVC pipe.
Baaaaalla - Each student leap frogged over their teammates to a specified point where they then had to make a free throw.
Hear My Cheer - Students had to first build a pyramid and chant "JSM, JSM, A Big Show that's all for Him!" and then make up their own chant on a random topic to be judged on spirit and creativity.
The first team to complete all the challenges and solve the mystery that "Ben killed Brandon at the Basketball Court with a can of Rockstar" was the Rainbow team!
Several of the other teams finished close together but the very last team to make it in was the White team so everyone formed a tunnel to welcome them to the finish line!
Despite their difficulty with some of the challenges this team kept a great attitude all afternoon long and will therefore be receiving 25,000 pep points for this afternoon!
And then their was Neill...
...Who for some reason, after finishing the game, ripped off his shirt to reveal a "tank top" that he'd been wearing all day made of yellow duct tape!
A few of our teams...
Off to dinner and another awesome night! Keep us all in your prayers! Catch ya on the flipside!!
